Preserving a telescope's legacy

The Arecibo Observatory telescope in Puerto Rico sustained damage in 2020, and the telescope shut down. But thanks to an international community of scientists and researchers, including an IUPUI School of Informatics and Computing faculty member, thousands of hours of viewing data will still be available for many years to come.

New institutes advance AI to improve people's lives

Two IU schools are leading new AI institutes that will expand engaged student learning, especially in STEM areas, and develop better, more accessible cyberinfrastructure, as part of the U.S. National Science Foundation's 11 new NSF National Artificial Intelligence Research Institutes.
