Combating stigma about substance use disorder
Hundreds of people have taken IU online courses to learn about reducing stigma. The free courses were created by IU's Responding to the Addictions Crisis Grand Challenge and School of Nursing and made possible through a grant from the Commission for Higher Education of the State of Indiana, CARES Mental Health Programs.

Building national security
What do balloons have to do with national security? In the "Save the Republic" competition, students and scientists vie to design and command effective remote-controlled lighter-than-air vehicles. The event is a collaboration between IU, the Department of Defense, and other university partners. The next competition takes place April 12-16 at IU Bloomington.
