An ambitious new model for large-scale research on student learning

In a first-of-its-kind study, Indiana University researchers have created a new experimental model, called ManyClasses, for studying how teaching practices work in real-life classrooms. The study expands the boundaries and methods of current research on educational practice and could help to transform understandings of what influences student learning outcomes.

  • SPECIAL EVENT: A new IU research and exhibitions center and the IU Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology will be celebrated in a special virtual event on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. The new Collections Teaching, Research & Exhibition Center will engage students, faculty, and public audiences with significant art, cultural, and historical collections across all IU campuses. The IUMAA will bring together IU's rich archaeological and anthropological collections, including those of the Glenn A. Black Laboratory of Archaeology and the Mathers Collection.
  • Sleep Away, a performance presented by the School of Health and Human Sciences at IUPUI, The Dove Recovery House, and Summit Performance Indianapolis, highlights the resilience of women, based on true stories of Indianapolis women's journeys in recovery. Register for the event.
