Hevolution/AFAR New Investigator Awards in Aging Biology and Geroscience Research will provide up to 18 three-year awards of $375,000 each to junior investigators (MDs and/or PhDs) with at least 3 years of independent research, who conduct research projects in basic biology of aging or geroscience. Deadline: Sept. 25.
The American Academy in Berlin invites applications for its residential fellowships for the academic year of 2024-25. Candidates must explain the relevance of a stay in Berlin to the development of their work and engage with audiences in Germany on one or more occasions. Benefits include round-trip airfare, partial board, a $5,000 monthly stipend and accommodations at the Academy’s lakeside Hans Arnhold Center. Deadline: Sept. 29.
Brain Research Foundation - 2024 Seed Grant Program is providing start-up monies ($80K) for new research projects in the field of neuroscience that will likely lead to extramural funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) or other outside funding sources. Deadline: Oct. 1. You must be logged into InfoReady to apply.
The Social Sciences Research Funding Program supports new innovative research projects that foster excellence in the social sciences and advance IU Bloomington’s national and international reputation. Projects may be initiated by individual faculty members or be collaborative, as long as the lead PI is in the social sciences. Maximum amount of award is $50,000 per project. Deadline: Oct. 16.
The FRSP-Seed Funding program at IU Bloomington supports new innovative research projects that have not been previously submitted for external funding from federal, state, international, or private entities but are targeted for submission to a specific external agency and whose likelihood of funding on submission would increase with the acquisition of data or proof of concept. Maximum award is $40,000. Deadline: Nov. 1.
The Russell Sage Foundation (RSF)- Core Programs and Special Initiatives provides $200K over two years to any of its core programs and special initiatives that address the effects of social movements, and the effects of racial/ethnic/gender bias and discrimination on a range of outcomes related to social and living conditions in the United States. Deadline: Nov. 7.

NSF Advanced Computing Systems & Services: Adapting to the Rapid Evolution of Science and Engineering Research is requesting proposals from organizations who are willing to serve as resource providers within the NSF Advanced Computing Systems and Services (ACSS) program. The current solicitation is intended to complement previous NSF investments in advanced computational infrastructure by provisioning resources, broadly defined in this solicitation to include systems and/or services, in innovative forward-looking capabilities deploying novel technologies, architectures, usage modes, etc., and exploring new target applications, methods and paradigms for S&E discoveries.

2024 Blavatnik National Awards for Young Scientists.The Blavatnik National Awards for Young Scientists recognize the country's most promising faculty-rank researchers in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences & Engineering and Chemistry.

Award: One Blavatnik Laureate in each disciplinary category will receive $250,000 in unrestricted funds.
Limitation: Three per Indiana University. Each institution may submit up to three nominations, one in each disciplinary category of Life Sciences, Physical Sciences & Engineering and Chemistry.

DOS U.S. Embassy Baku PAS Annual Program Statement. U.S. Embassy Baku invites proposals for projects that expand and strengthen ties between the United States and Azerbaijan through cultural and exchange programming that highlights shared values and promotes bilateral cooperation. All programs must include connection with American expert/s, organization/s, or institution/s in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives.
