Treating Alzheimer’s

Shedding new light on potential therapeutic targets for Alzheimer’s treatment, Hui-Chen Lu, professor and director of the Linda and Jack Gill Center for Biomolecular Science at IU, and colleagues have uncovered that an enzyme, PRMT5, plays a substantially more significant role in controlling cell division and growth than previously recognized which can help fend off neurodegenerative diseases.
